Resort perspective Mei Mabuah will build and manage a world-class retreat, conference center and guest house complex in the Negev region of Israel. By creating a showcase of environmental design and technologies, the physical structure of Mei Mebuah will reflect the development of a new paradigm for living in balance with the ecology around us. Among other things, it will feature: Bio-climatic building design (passive solar) to minimize the use of artificial heating and cooling. Effective and economical water recycling and water collecting systems. Clean and renewable energy systems. Integrating and creating a harmonious atmosphere with the environment by adapting the buildings to the contour of the land and preserving the landscape and open areas. Mei Mabuah is committed to demonstrating that sustainable ecological living is an integral part of Judaism. The center will be a place where ecological living and Jewish values come together. Its activities will emphasize Jewish environmental responsibility. Creative programming will aim at attracting the participation of Jews from diverse backgrounds. Mei Mabuah's offerings will include: Seminars and workshops on ecology Symposia on the link between the environment and Judaism Ecological films and slide shows Ecological field trips Lectures by Israel's leading scholars Special Shabbat programming Guests of Mei Mabuah will leave with a new vision of community, one that responds to the environment within a social, cultural and recreational context that will appeal to people of all ages and religious approaches.
